The Team At Millie's

Veterinary Surgeons

Dr James H. Ede BVetMed., MRCVS

Clinical Director and Practice Owner

James hails from a farming family in Staffordshire and first wanted to be a Vet after his school-age work experience back in the 1980’s. Much of this work experience was done at his parents’ Vets in Stoke-on-Trent.

James qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon after training at the prestigious Royal Veterinary College in London, back in 2001. His first job was in Stoke-on-Trent, with Rogers, Brock and Barker (who now are the host practice for our out of hours service).

James classifies himself as a true GP Vet, focusing on the needs of all pets and their owners, being proud to be their first contact in their time of need. With over 20 years experience, there’s not much that he hasn’t seen previously, and there are several types of cases that James really enjoys dealing with, such as cats with an over-active thyroid, dermatology (skin) problems, lameness investigations and tummy troubles – all of which are incredibly common in pets.

At home, James lives with his partner Izzie (who you may well see on reception at weekends), and their two Labradors Kia and Hollie who are 11 and 3 years old.

Dr Liam Bullock BVSc (Hons) MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Fascinated by the unique communication differences between humans and our furry companions, and in continuous awe of the almost countless ways in which pets can enrich the lives of their owners, Liam has always been drawn to a career in veterinary medicine.

Since graduating from the University of Bristol in 2020, Liam has continued to develop his skills as a first opinion small animal veterinarian; this experience has been gained from working in both general and referral-level practices.

In his spare time, Liam aims to spend as much time outdoors as possible. More often than not, this is in the company of his two very fluffy, and very friendly golden retrievers, Bella and Jasper!
